I'm in the midst of uploading a handfull of sketches I've done recently. The oldest was from like, December (nakala in her furisode) and the newest is Miss Mafia, from a couple weeks ago. Right now I'm cleaning up some of the edges with Corel... getting rid of smudges and stuff. For some reason my scanner blurred the edges around the middle of the pages, but whatevs...

Nothing new in real art, though... just sketches (though I'm lucky if I can even get decent sketches out these days.) Maybe some new photos coming.. and I need to take a picture of "Rice Paddy" so I can put it up here. Should've taken a picture when I finished. Oh well.

meh

I haven't been up to anything. or rather, anything i should be doing. no art. what. so. ever. though i did draw a few costume sketches, and i did another picture of "tsuki." but this time it's a full-body shot. but i f**ked it up, because i apparently suck with markers right now. whatevs. i've been mostly writing when i haven't been at work, which is more... fulfilling, somehow. even though i have a lot of ideas for art stuff, i just really, REALLY suck at it. i don't really have time, either, so that sucks too.

Wheee!

Yay! I finished my "Rice Paddy" painting! It's good to have it done, though i still have to varnish it.

And the merciful goddess costume is proving to be quite the caterpillar in my buttermilk. what with it's pain in the ass and all... i've already logged 32 hours on it, and i have like, one ring of hemp and half of the top attached. glarg. and its all hand-stitching. but... it'll be worth it when it's done, and far out-ranks all other goddess costumes! so there!

This should be me now: :typerhappy: so I'm going to try to pull some writing out of my ass before an angry mob comes after me. Wish me luck!

IT'S DONE!!!

I'M DONE! I'M SO FRIGGIN' DONE! The Sanzo costume that I should have finished a year ago (man, I suck) is finally f#@!&g done!! My part, at least.

And oh god, was it hell! That robe took 154 hours. One-Hundred and Fifty-Four!!! That's... wait.. just a sec... six and a half days of straight work! No breaks, no sleep! That chest thing took almost thirty hours... I spent a good ten hours trying to figure out how to attach the leather facing to the rest of it... I'm just glad I'm a problem-solver.

The sutra is... not my best work. But it looks a helluva lot better than the craft-paper ones I've seen... and I think I did really well on the calligraphy. You can't see it in the picture, but... it's not horrible.

Still gotta fix the problems with the arm-warmers. You see, me and my friend had found these rubber frame circle things, but when I tried my original idea... no go. Apparently super glue doesn't STICK to rubber. I'm thinking of trying something with like, flexi-sculpey or rubber tubing (which was my original idea).

But ne who... now, I have to focus on my Merciful Goddess costume. Mother-f*@#&g joy.

FINALLY!!

I'm finally finished! The Sanzo robe is finished! I'm so happy, I could cry! T.T
And I'm almost done with the stupid bamboo thing! All I have to do now is wait for the urethane to dry so I can assemble it! And then I can finish the sutra once that stupid gddmn fabric marker gets here.

Also, I ordered some chinchilla feathers (don't sound right, do it?)so I can finish "Stormy Weather." lolz.. I think it's kinda funny that the Inuyasha Club added it to their faves... It DOES look like him, though! I can't deny it!

Yeah, and I might be posting some more cloud pics--I can't help it! I've been obsessed with clouds since I was a child. They're fleeting, and cirrus/cirrostratus clouds are beautiful! My favourite clouds are cirrostratus undulatus (you know, the ones that look like waves in the sky--looks like a friggin' ocean scene!) but they don't happen often, and usually when they do, I'm without a camera. (sigh)
